This post is in regard to the overall usage bitdefender needs to "operate" as well as optimization for such usage, i.e. how to find the off button for the service as a whole. I have been sub-optimally surprised with performance from bitdefender as a service, as you get half a second to use a vpn with a paid package and the overall antivirus software uses entirely too much of the computers RAM and CPU memory simply idling. Not to mention the fact you can't do anything remotely straining towards your computer without bitdefender completely taking over and using over half of my 64 gigabytes of 5th gen ram, as well as over a third of my 7950x 3D Ryzen 9. I mean this is truly unbelievable that without any application open but bitdefender, it somehow manages to require more out of my pc than fortnite. I obviously don't want to just waste the rest of my mediocre subscription for this service but there has to be a way to simply turn this service off without deleting it. I guess it's alright to use on the internet, but for the price I paid, and the simple lack of actual optimization, I should not have to end the entirety of bitdefenders software instance just to upload a video or play a partially demanding video game. What is the point of an antivirus if it can't be used during times an antivirus is crucial? If there truly is no solution but to "restart or delete and redownload" then I am never purchasing this software again, and you best believe every person I know (which includes an entire highway patrol academy, as well as multiple individual departments) will now be heavily enticed to use McAfee instead.
